OTV Host, Georgii Speakman speaks with Shanna Jade, Marketing Director at stem.is about her journey into music management at fifteen years of age... Shanna was Stem's first non-engineer and second overall employee - developing programs and processes to spread the company's missions of getting artists paid. She built Stem's artist relations and support teams, and led user acquisition during their platform's private beta. Prior, Shanna managed all social media tied to branded content at Complex, including social campaigns that lived natively on client channels, as well as Complex owned-and-operated channels and their influencer program(s). During her time at Complex, she helped build and execute on social programs for brands like Nike, adidas, Reebok, Levi's, Budweiser, Powerade and Verizon to name a few. Shanna has also managed a team of writers to execute content across retail, fashion, lifestyle and music on Miss KL's blog - also managing all paid and organic social campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for the brand, which was Karmaloop's female-focused vertical. For Karmaloop, Shanna served as the project manager for homepage updates, owning all changes that were made on Karmaloop.com. In 2013, she represented Karmaloop on its first-ever sponsored U.S. tour, Verge Campus Tour, which featured Kendrick Lamar and Steve Aoki.
